Merva is out again. It was hauled out last year for an insurance inspection (and a quick coat of fresh bottom paint ‘while we were at it’). So a bit soon for hauling out for bottom paint – however – the bright-side needs a refresh and the application of a new logo/name sticker… so why…

Focus
Merva has become the focus for myself and helpers/crew. Bits are arriving by mail – such as the Merva patches. These will be for hats, sweaters and such. Merva is to come out next week (Monday) for bottom and brightside paint so work on the super structure is the focus this week.
Anchors
I set up a second rode and put the existing Danforth anchor on it. I put the new Bruce anchor in the better/primary rode. I reinstalled a good length of extra rope. Came up with a plan to have reserve fuel (6+ hrs of cruising) while having improved seating the stern.
Spot Light, May Cruise

Fridg Working?, Otters
Fridg The fridg never really worked when we purchased the boat. The previous owner told us that he thinks the gas had leaked out and that it used up too much power anyway. Some recent attempts to get it working again by simply filling it with gas and looking for leaks resulted in no leaks…
