Put my ToDo list on a clip board and in the boathouse. Not all of this will get done in the next 12 months but I hope to knock of many of them. Also started to measure out the boat (very roughly) so I can start to document where critical (and perhaps some not so…

Port Steering Cable
Installed a 3/8″ stainless steering cable on the port side. It has about 1/8″ of PVC on it. Seems to be a perfect fit.
Steering Cable

Going with fat/thick like the original one but stainless with PVC coated. The starboard cable has been replaced and although its stainless and PVC coated it is much thinner. Disconnected the…

Haul Out
Merva is out again. It was hauled out last year for an insurance inspection (and a quick coat of fresh bottom paint ‘while we were at it’). So a bit soon for hauling out for bottom paint – however – the bright-side needs a refresh and the application of a new logo/name sticker… so why…
Focus
Merva has become the focus for myself and helpers/crew. Bits are arriving by mail – such as the Merva patches. These will be for hats, sweaters and such. Merva is to come out next week (Monday) for bottom and brightside paint so work on the super structure is the focus this week.
