Off to a late start but all went well. We ended up in Powell River instead of Lund for our first night.
We hit Sechelt Rapids a bit early according to Navionics and our Ports & Passes book (each of which had times for slack that were different by 45 minutes or so). Seeing no rapids we entered only to find that we were pushing against a 2 or 3 knot current. I think the confusion was caused by the minor dip between two ‘normal’ dips. Anyway; we pressed on through.
Ended our day in Powell River. Matt jumped off the dock very soon after, with perfect grace, and landed on the dock holding two beers.
The sunset was a nice touch for the end of the day.
We had breakfast , did a few tasks, and then shoved off. All very casual.
Matt did most of the time at the wheel yesterday. We are currently half way between Powell River and Lund. Lukas is on the wheel and I am blogging in the ‘office’. Matt is in a book at the stern.
We will fuel up in Lund so we have max fuel as we enter the channels that will take us to Johnston Straight.
