Navigation Lights

I took a look at the navigation lights as part of some regular maintenance. The anchor and steaming lights are working fine. Merva does not have a stern light so the anchor light should be doing double-duty but its not wired for this. I can either change the wiring to have the anchor light do double-duty (probably just disable the steaming light) or install a stern light. I will probably install a stern light – but not ‘today’.

The port and starboard lights are unreliable. I have to find some way to make these modified period lights reliable or replace them.

I had the same (worse) problem with the Alder II. In that case it was an easy decision to replace with the following…
