Lukas and I took up the anchor and Matt had the helm to keep us off shore. Three inches at a time and many feet. It took some time.
We had super fine weather even though Johnson Straight was (from all sources) nasty. So we decided to take advantage and head straight to the north end of Texada. Lukas was on the helm and spotted Orcas. We waited for this one – and it swam right under the boat with no fuss.
We arrived in the marina (yacht club) and found an old Monk small cruiser.
Checked the charts and the tides and it looks too easy to head straight home. We decided to get to Egmont a bit early so we can have a burger for lunch at the Back Eddy. So this appears to be our last night no this cruise. We spent the evening chatting in the wheel house.
Matt and I did some maintenance. Lukas will return the effort by cooking pancakes, while underway, for breakfast tomorrow.
